Live Tracking on Race Day (start ~06:40 CEST)

Get live race updates as I progress through the Ironman race, all you need is the the Ironman app on your mobile device.

Step-By-Step Instructions

1. Download and install the official Ironman app on iPhone/iPad or Android
2. Open the Ironman app on your mobile device
3. Tap the search icon in the top right and search for Austria
4. Tap 2025 IRONMAN Kärnten-Klagenfurt, Austria
5. Tap I'm a Fan when asked
6. Tap Start Tracking and search for Joen Olsen
7. Tap my name in the search results
8. Tap my name again to expand and see the live progress during the race
9. Tap Notifications then Close (enables automatic notifications as I cross each checkpoint)

Practical Info

• Race start: ~06:40am CEST on Sunday, June 15th 2025
• Live updates work thanks to a chip I'll be wearing on my ankle — checkpoints on the course detect the chip and update the tracking in the app
• Tracking begins when I start the swim, next update when I exit the swim (no tracking in the water)
• For the bike section, updates approximately every 20km
• For the marathon section, updates approximately every 5km
